It's Cole in here.

Get it? It's Cole in...nevermind. In September 2007, I started a book project with pun lover and fashion designer Kenneth Cole. One year, two months and several days later, Awearness: Inspiring Stories About How to Make a Difference is finally in stores. Kenneth's newest slogan wordplay: "No good deed should go unpublished." Of the 86 politicians, actors, doctors, athletes, entrepreneurs, musicians, chefs, artists, scientists, lawyers, academics, etc. who discuss their personal causes in the book, I interviewed 50 of them. One of my favorite moments: taking the liberty to greet Robert Redford at the beginning of our conversation with, "Hi Bob" (Apparently, that's what he goes by.)

Unfortunately, Bob was not able to come to the launch party in Grand Central last night. However, fellow contributors Rosario Dawson, Harry Belafonte, Lauren Bush and Matisyahu were, as well as myself and a few friends. Please pick up a book or at least go to the Awearness Blog where you can find all kinds of information about getting more socially active.
